Tips for the Best Air Fryer Garlic Bread
Cooking time can vary from air fryer to air fryer. The garlic toast will be cooked at 5 minutes but soft, and crispy and golden brown at 7 minutes. It comes down to personal preference. You might find the extra time is perfect for you, or not!
Cook time will also vary on the thickness of the slices of bread you use. I used thick Texas Toast garlic bread slices for this recipe. Smaller pieces might cook faster, so be sure to check your own garlic bread after 5 minutes to make sure it doesn’t overcook.
If you’d like to add cheese to this air fryer garlic bread recipe to make cheesy garlic bread, I recommend sprinkling a little parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese or shredded Italian blend cheese before placing the garlic bread slices in the air fryer.
You can also use this recipe with homemade garlic bread! Slice french bread or Italian bread into 1 inch thick slices. Mix softened butter with minced garlic and seasonings, and spread the garlic butter on each side of the bread slice. Cook for 5 minutes.
You don’t need to line the air fryer tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil. In fact, for better results you don’t want to do anything except spray air fryer basket with cooking spray! The hot air needs to easily move around in order to perfectly cook the air fryer garlic bread.
