How to Make Halloween Syringe Jello Shots
This Halloween jello shot syringe recipe is so easy, and can be made quickly any time of the year.
First, start by emptying the Jello powder into a large bowl.

Mix in boiling water until the powder if fully dissolved.

Add the ice water and vodka, stirring well to combine.
Place the tip of each plastic syringe into the gelatin mixture. Pull the handle back gently to suck the liquid into the syringe. If your syringes come with caps, put the cap on the syringe.

Fill all of the plastic syringes and place in a cup with the syringes facing up to avoid leaking. Chill in the fridge for at least 2-4 hours.
Store filled syringes in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.

Tips for the Best Halloween Syringe Shots
These are designed to be party shots without shot glasses. Food grade plastic syringes for shots can be purchased online (I got mine here with free shipping) or at local party stores.
The syringes I use are actually a multi size syringe, allowing you to fill it to 0.5 oz, 1 oz or 1.5 oz. My final ones are 1 oz syringes. You can also order large, 2-ounce syringes if you prefer.
To help prevent your syringes from leaking, I recommend chilling and storing them in a large cup with the tip facing up. While the party syringes I use have caps, there are also lots of options that don’t. If yours don’t come with caps, this is a MUST.
I used cherry Jello because I wanted these to be red jello (to resemble bloody syringes or vampire shots) and wanted the bright red color. Strawberry Jello also makes a great red shade, just with a different flavor for bloody vodka syringes.
However, literally any flavor of Jello can be used. Lime jello would be fun for ooze or monsters! You can also use multiple flavors and create a mad scientist vibe for your party guests! The flavor of the jello is up to you.
I also opted for the family size because we are going to a party tomorrow; the syringe jello shot recipe uses the regular size, and I just doubled it for this occasion.
Perfect a different alcohol of choice? I personally use vodka for my jello shots, but you can use rum too. Rum jello shots are delicious (I personally love a Malibu Jello shot). If you opt for rum, I recommend using white rum for best results.

For this recipe I used unflavored vodka, but there are tons of flavored vodka options out there that would be delicious, too! Be sure to pay attention to the flavor of gelatin you choose, as you want to ensure the flavor of vodka will taste good with that.
The amount of alcohol in these might be personal preference for many of us, but be aware that it’s easy for individuals to have too much alcohol with these. The last thing you want at your Halloween parties is for someone to get hurt, so keep that in mind. If you choose to use high-proof alcohol, be sure to let your guests know.
Just like with traditional jello shot recipes, the most important thing to remember is that for your Jello shots to turn out correctly, you need very hot water mixed with the Jell-O powder to activate it. If you only use room temperature water, your Jello shots won’t set correctly.
You need the jello mixture to fully congeal. If it’s still a little watery, the syringes might leak. In that case, you can serve them with disposable shot cups!
I also recommend using ice water instead of just cold water when you mix in the vodka. The ice water helps the Halloween jello shots syringes to set quicker, especially if you are using different colors.
