Halloween Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs
Halloween Air Fryer Mummy Hot Dogs are ready in less than 10 minutes and need just three ingredients! These adorable Halloween snacks are perfect for a Halloween party or any time during spooky season.
Our family LOVES Halloween. I’ve loved dressing up since I was a kid, and now that I’m a mom one of my very favorite parts of this time of year is watching my children get excited, too.
Between the creepy decorations and horror movies, sometimes Halloween can feel a little too spooky for the littlest ghosts and goblins. That’s one of the reasons I love Halloween food, because you can make “scary” things fun for them.
These adorable Halloween mummy hot dogs are created quickly and easily using your air fryer. Plus, they’re so cute! My kiddos love eating them all October, and ask for them all year long (and who can blame them??).
They think it’s hilarious to dip them in ketchup and pretend it’s blood, and honestly I’m here for a lunch or dinner that I don’t have to fight them on finishing. They love to eat them with Chocolate Covered Halloween Dipped Oreos!

Ingredients Needed for Halloween Mummy Hot Dogs
One of the best parts of this recipe is it only requires three inexpensive ingredients. Remember that you can scroll to the end of this post for a printable recipe card with all of the measurements, too.
- Hot dogs
- Crescent roll dough
- Candy eyes
You’ll also need an air fryer. The Ninja Foodi XL 10 Quart 6-in-1 is the air fryer my family personally owns and loves. The fact that it has two GIANT baskets is a game changer for us for family dinners. I don’t have to cook our meals in batches, and better yet, the Ninja Foodi allows me to cook two different foods at the same time!
This recipe tastes great with any type of hot dogs, but I’ve found that beef hot dogs are our favorite. You can absolutely use vegetarian hot dogs or turkey hot dogs too.
I personally use the crescent roll dough with the perforations for this recipe, because it’s the least expensive option and I have three boys who never stop eating. However, lots of people also use and love the flat sheets of crescent dough. It’s up to you!
You’ll need two candy eyes per mummy hot dog. You can usually find these at your grocery store in the baking aisle, or at your local craft store. In a pinch I’ve also ordered them online.
How to Make Mummy Hot Dogs in the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
Open your hot dog package and pat them each dry with a paper towel and set aside.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Using a knife or pizza cutter, slice each triangle into thin strips (about 1/4 inch wide).
Take one hot dog and start wrapping it with a crescent roll strip, leaving a small gap for the between the strips at the top of the dog so that you have space for the candy eyes. Continue wrapping until the hot dog is covered, resembling a mummy.
Repeat with the remaining hot dogs and crescent roll strips.
Place the wrapped hot dogs in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other to allow for air flow.
Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the mummy dogs from the air fryer and place the edible eyeballs in the gap you left for the face. If needed, you can use a tiny bit of mustard or ketchup to help the eyeballs stick.
Serve the mummy dogs warm with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup or mustard.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Tips for the Best Mummy Hot Dogs
These mummy dogs are perfect for lunch or dinner! The following tips will help you make the best ones possible:
- Check on your dogs while they’re cooking after 5 minutes, as some air fryers cook faster than others.
- If you don’t have candy eyes, you can also use green olive rings or black olive rings instead, or squirts of ketchup. You also can serve these without candy eyes, as they’re still delicious.
- Serve these air fryer mummy hot dogs with your favorite dipping sauces. For more Halloween fun, add a sweet treat like no bake mummy brownies for your Halloween table.
