One of the ways that our family has drastically reduced our food bill is by eating out and ordering takeout less often. However, there are some nights where we are really craving Chinese!

That’s how we discovered how to cook Tai Pei Egg Rolls in the air fryer. They take less than 10 minutes to make, and taste so much better than making them in the oven or microwave. Plus, you can feel better about serving them since they’re baked instead of fried, unlike traditional egg rolls.

The crispy texture is where it’s at for me. There’s just something so satisfying with that crunch! Cooking the egg rolls in the air fryer is a great way to recreate the deep fried egg roll taste, without the extra calories (and no deep fryer needed).

Whether you’re craving Chinese American food and want them as an easy appetizer for a “make your own takeout” night (they go great with Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon), or are just looking for a great snack, you’ll love how easy it is to make egg rolls in the air fryer.

What are Tai Pei Egg Rolls?

Tai Pei egg rolls are frozen egg rolls that come in multiple varieties. They’re sold at most grocery stores in the United States. Each of them are made basically the same: a yummy inside filling that’s a mixture of spices, meat or vegetables wrapped in a crispy outer wrapper.

Our family made Tai Pei pork egg rolls in the air fryer because that’s what we had at home. However, you can use these same steps to make Tai Pei shrimp egg rolls, Tai Pei chicken egg rolls or Tai Pei vegetable egg rolls in the air fryer. We love these store-bought egg rolls!

Air-frying frozen egg rolls is a healthier alternative to deep frying. I’ve also found that the hot air cooks the egg rolls more evenly than the oven. With how fast they cook, they’re the perfect snack and a great appetizer.

I love a good air fryer recipe! Not only does it make so many foods nice and crispy in a healthier way, but it also makes clean up a breeze. I own and love this Ninja Foodi air fryer with dual baskets. I can make two different foods at the same time, or have double the space to cook large amounts!
